Terms of Service

Rules for using the CinemaVR website, watching films and joining shared rooms.

Effective September 29, 2026

1. General

These Terms govern use of CinemaVR at cinemavr.sbs and related client applications if made available to you. In this document, “CinemaVR” means the operator of the service, the “Service” means the website and available features, and the “User” means anyone who uses the Service or creates an account.

Before registering or using Service features, read these Terms, the Privacy Policy and Pricing. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

A minor may use the Service with any consent from a legal guardian required under applicable law.

2. Service features

CinemaVR provides access to a catalog and to audiovisual works available on the Service, as well as shared viewing and room features. The interface shows specific films, quality, devices, viewing options and available features. Some features may require an account and permission to access a particular work.

The User receives a limited right to watch personally within the Service. A subscription, if available, does not transfer ownership of films or copies of files. Catalog content and the availability of works may change, including when rights to them expire.

The Service may temporarily restrict features for maintenance, troubleshooting or compliance with the law. CinemaVR will communicate material changes to paid access by an available means in accordance with applicable law.

3. Account and security

When registering, the User provides a working email address and accurate information needed to operate the account. The User is responsible for keeping their password secure and for activity through their account caused by their failure to take security precautions.

If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password if that feature is available and email support@cinemavr.sbs. You may not transfer your account or access to paid features to a third party contrary to the plan terms.

To delete an account, contact support. The Privacy Policy describes how personal data is stored and deleted.

4. Rules for use and shared rooms

The User agrees to respect the law and the rights of other users and rights holders. In particular, you must not:

  • bypass technical restrictions, access checks or content protection measures;
  • record, copy, download or distribute material without separate permission from the rights holder or another lawful basis;
  • disrupt the Service or use it for automated data collection, attacks or unauthorized access;
  • threaten or insult room participants, or distribute spam or other unlawful content.

Viewing in a shared room is available only to participants the Service permits to access it. Creating a room or inviting someone does not replace the access right to a film if each participant needs one.

If these rules are breached, CinemaVR may restrict access to a room, feature or account to the extent needed to protect the Service and other users. The User can challenge that decision through support. Restricting access does not remove any statutory right to a refund.

5. Rights to materials

Rights in films, images, software, design and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. The User may use materials only as expressly permitted by Service features and applicable law. Commercial exhibition, resale of access, public transmission outside Service features and distribution of copies require separate permission from the rights holder.

If you believe your rights are infringed on the Service, send a description of the material and supporting information to support@cinemavr.sbs. CinemaVR will review the request and take the necessary steps.

6. Price and payment

Current access terms are published on the Pricing page. The planned paid subscription costs 500 RUB for 30 calendar days for customers in Russia or US$5 for 30 calendar days for customers in other countries. The checkout will show the applicable currency and final price before an order is confirmed. As of this version, payment has not launched: you cannot purchase or pay for a subscription through the Service yet.

A subscription runs for 30 calendar days after successful payment and ends without automatic renewal. To continue for another period, the User places and pays for a new order. Before payment processing starts, the Service will show the order terms, final price and access period before payment is confirmed. A charge is possible only after the User places an order through the payment interface.

A price change does not alter the price of a period already paid for. If individual films or features require a separate payment, their prices and terms will be shown before an order is placed.

7. Ending a paid service and refunds

After payments launch, a User may end further provision of a paid service by emailing support@cinemavr.sbs from their account address. Include the account address, payment date and payment identifier if known. Do not send the full bank card number or security code.

Refunds, including for an unused period, are handled under applicable law, taking account of services actually provided and documented provider expenses where the law allows them to be retained. These Terms do not limit consumer rights granted by law. Until payments launch, the Service has no paid orders or refunds.

If access was not provided or you encounter a technical issue, contact support with your account, the date of the issue and your order number if available. CinemaVR will investigate and offer a solution under the law and the terms of the paid service.

8. Personal data

The Privacy Policy explains the processing of personal data, its purposes and retention, and how to contact us to exercise your rights. When payment becomes available, information about the processing of payment data will also be shown in the payment interface.

9. Changes and contact

CinemaVR may update these Terms when Service features or legal requirements change. A new version with its publication date will appear at this address. Changes affecting services already paid for apply only to the extent permitted by law and the terms of the relevant order.

For questions about accounts, access, payment, refunds or Service rules, email support@cinemavr.sbs. Contact details and guidance are also available on the Support page.
